Information about flora of Bandhavgarh forest. Here we have tried to prepare a list of trees that we can see during jungle safari in Bandhavgarh national park

Introduction

Bandhavgarh forest is spread over Vindhya range in Central India. It lies in north-eastern border of Madhya Pradesh at an altitude between 410 meter. and 810 meters. This forest is composed of North Indian moist deciduous forest, Tropical moist deciduous forest, moist Peninsular low level Sal. If we move further to eastern part of forest, we will notice some forest belonging to west Gangetic moist mixed deciduous forest. Here dominant species is Sal (Shorea robusta) and Bamboo clumps. Bandhavgarh tiger reserve has more than 600 flowering plants, 50 species of aquatic plants and 18 species of rare plants.
